In 2013, my journey began all thanks to my mother that applied me to an after-school program named PCAT (Philadelphia Center for Arts & Technology). I was apart of the STEAM Program where I had more education on traditional subjects. The artsy side of things was digital, and this is where I learned the basics of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. I and other students learned about graphic design and engaged in group projects.
During my time in the program, I've been making graphics for new clients. This experience made me become aware of the importance of graphic design and my passion for it grew. After High School graduation in 2017, I applied to mainly art colleges near me and gotten accepted to Pennsylvania College of Art & Design!
I've taken numerous courses at PCA&D (Pennsylvania College of Art & Design) in Lancaster, PA. My overall favorite courses were Interaction Design, Digital Design Production, and Packaging Design. I've met some great students as well. Through my time there, my skills exponentially increased while striving for my BFA. Since I had prior experience with Adobe Programs, the digital assignments given to me were not as challenging, but I did learn how to become a better designer.
